Materials

At Little Like Me, only select grade hardwoods, hardwood-veneered plywood, and top grade laminate are used in the manufacture of the products we sell.

Wood Solids

While Red Oak is the primary hardwood we use, we can make any piece from a variety of woods including:

Plywood

We use only top-quality hardwood veneered plywood, made in the United States or Canada.  The hardwood veneers on these plywoods is 6-8 times thicker than the veneers used in many of the plywoods manufactured overseas.  This thicker veneer provides a more durable surface, that will last many years.

Melamine Surfaces

Melamine is a durable, man-made product ideally suited for surfaces that will require frequent cleaning (such as children's furniture).  For those products shown with Melamine surfaces, there are a number of different colors that can be used to build the pieces.  Click here to view a chart of available melamine colors.
