As with all of our pieces, this set is built of solid hardwood, with inset veneered plywood panels on the head and foot boards, stained, sealed, and varnished with two coats of polyurethane varnish for a long lasting finish. All assembly bolts thread into steel threaded inserts embedded into the wood to allow for easy assembly and disassembly without the likelihood of stripping out wood screws, while providing an extremely solid and rigid assembly.
